What is Coddy?
Coddy is a Brussels company that creates urban escape games played outdoors on a smartphone: players walk through a city, solve puzzles and discover its landmarks. It was co-founded by Sébastien Balieu (CEO), Didier Boulvin and Stéphane Draux. The legal entity was created in June 2018 as Kalio Tech, a web and mobile agency that funded the development of the games, and was renamed Coddy in December 2021. The first game launched in Brussels in February 2020. Coddy raised €600,000 in January 2022 through the Spreds crowdfunding platform, Digital Attraxion, finance&invest.brussels and business angels. As of September 2026 it offers 275 games in 74 cities across 9 countries, has welcomed more than 250,000 players and has worked with more than 600 companies for team building. It also runs school outings.
